How a FirstSourceTeam outplacement program works
HR adds each departing employee in the employer portal, then sends their invitation email when they've been told. The participant gets a Get Started link and a 14-day decline link, and HR follows each person's status from Scheduled to Completed on the dashboard.
In FirstSourceTeam, HR starts each person's outplacement directly from the employer portal: you add participants yourself, choose when their invitation email goes out, and follow their progress there, with no intake call or kickoff project first. Each participant moves through a set of statuses (Scheduled, Contacted, Engaged, Completed) that HR can see and update.
The program, step by step
- FirstSourceTeam sets up your organization's portal account. FirstSourceTeam creates your organization and sends your first admin an invitation link. On first sign-in the admin finishes a short setup: company details, your default plan and, optionally, a payment method. Admins then invite HR teammates.
- HR adds participants. An admin adds people one at a time or uploads a CSV or Excel file of up to 500 rows. Each participant gets an exit date, a service start date and one of four plans: Essentials, Professional, Leader or Executive. Nobody is emailed yet. See Add participants.
- HR sends invitations. Once people have been told about their exit, an admin selects Send invitations. Each participant with an email address gets one email naming your organization and their program, with a Get Started link to FirstSourceTeam's participant platform and a link to decline. People without an email are contacted by phone. See Send invitations.
- The participant can decline within 14 days. Someone who doesn't need the services can decline with their link, within 14 days of their invitation being sent and before they start the program. See Declines and refunds.
- The participant starts the program. When they complete onboarding on the participant platform, their status changes to Engaged automatically.
- The program ends. When their placement is recorded on the participant platform, their status changes to Completed automatically. An admin can also mark a participant Completed, or take them out of the program by setting Expired.
- HR follows progress throughout. The dashboard and reports show how many participants are in each status, the engagement and completion rates, and recent activity. Admins can export the participant list and status history as CSV files.
