Copilot

In Microsoft Copilot Studio, add FirstSourceTeam to an agent as a Model Context Protocol tool (https://firstsourceteam.com/api/mcp, OAuth 2.0 with Dynamic discovery), then sign in with your employer portal account.

Microsoft Copilot connects to FirstSourceTeam through Copilot Studio: you add FirstSourceTeam as a tool on a Copilot Studio agent, and people use that agent. Your organization's Power Platform data policies also apply to the connection.

Let Microsoft Copilot walk you through it

Copy the setup prompt and paste it into Microsoft Copilot. It guides you one step at a time, then runs a test question once you're connected.

Open Copilot Studio
  1. In Copilot Studio, open your agent (or create one), then go to

ToolsAdd a toolNew toolModel Context Protocol
  2. Fill in the three fields:

    FieldEnter
    Server nameFirstSourceTeam
Server descriptionAggregate outplacement program statistics and costs for our organization
    Server URLhttps://firstsourceteam.com/api/mcp
  3. For authentication choose OAuth 2.0Dynamic discovery and select Create. Copilot Studio finds the sign-in settings and registers itself.

  4. On Add tool, select Create a new connection, sign in with your employer portal account, then select Add to agent.

  5. Ask a question in the agent's Test pane, for example "How is our program doing by launch group?"

Copilot Studio uses the Streamable HTTP transport, which is what FirstSourceTeam's server speaks.
